For customs brokerages & self-filing importers

De minimis is dead.
Your filings aren't.

Since July 24, 2026, every low-value postal shipment needs a monthly CBP filing — a 10-digit classification on every line, duties paid by the 7th. ClearPost turns your order exports into submission-ready filings in under an hour a month — and finds the tariff refunds you're owed going the other way.

One platform · two directions of money

Filings going out. Refunds coming back. One login.

ClearPost is one account with two engines that share everything — your company profile, your product memo bank, your audit trail.

ENGINE 01 · RECURRING

Postal Filing Engine

Order export in → classified, validated, CBP-exact monthly worksheet out. Built for the new postal informal entry process, ready for Entry Type 13 when the electronic era starts September 22.

ENGINE 02 · SPRINT

Refund Rescue

The Supreme Court struck the IEEPA tariffs. $86B has flowed back — mostly to the Fortune 500. We scan your entries, triage every deadline, and prep a perfect claim you submit yourself.

Engine 01 — Postal filings

From messy export to submitted filing, five steps.

You (or your client) keep pressing submit — we make everything before that moment automatic.

Connect your orders

Upload a CSV from Shopify, Etsy, your WMS — any column layout. Our mapper learns your format the first time and remembers it forever.

Your data

AI classification, with receipts

Every new product gets a proposed 10-digit HTSUS code with reasoning, the duty rate, and citations to CBP binding rulings — plus a confidence score.

AI + memo bank

Human review where it matters

High-confidence lines flow through. Anything uncertain lands in a review queue for you — or our licensed broker partner — to confirm. Every decision is remembered; month two runs ~90% on memory.

You confirm

Deterministic duty math & validation

Rates and totals are computed by code, never by a language model. Every line is checked against all 14 required IMDW fields and the exclusion rules before the file exists.

Pure code

Your filing, CBP's exact format

Download the finished worksheet — named [FilerCode]_[Month]_[Year]_Payment — with a Pay.gov payment checklist and a per-line audit log. Email, pay, done. Usually under an hour a month.

Submission-ready
Engine 02 — Refund rescue

Every entry you own lives in a deadline zone.
We find yours before it closes.

15% of refund claims get rejected on technicalities. Most small importers never even finished the account setup to receive the money. That's the gap we close.

Free eligibility scan

Follow our click-by-click runbook to pull one standard report (ES-003) from your ACE account — or get it from your broker — and upload it. We identify every line carrying refundable 9903.01/9903.02 codes and filter out the lookalikes that aren't.

Deadline triage report

Your entries, zoned, with the dollar estimate and the date each window closes. This report is yours to keep either way.

Unblock the plumbing

Importer identity form, ACE portal account, the bank enrollment (SF-3881) that Treasury needs to actually push your money. Guided, tracked, checked off.

We shepherd

Perfect claim file, you press submit

We generate the claim CSV exactly to spec — encoding, header, leading zeros — run it through our rejection linter, and join you on a screen-share while you upload it in your own account. Protest-tier cases go to our licensed broker partner.

How we work

What happens after you say yes

Day 1 — Onboarding call · 30 min

Company profile, filer details, bond path (your bond or our licensed broker partner's), and your first order export. We map your columns live.

Week 1 — Your first filing, concierge-grade

We run your file through the full pipeline and review every single line with you before it goes out. You see exactly how the sausage is made — and you keep the audit log.

Monthly — The 7th, handled

Exports in by the 3rd, worksheet back within 24h, submit and pay by the 7th. Your memo bank compounds; review time shrinks every cycle.

September — Entry Type 13, no rework

When CBP's electronic process goes live Sept 22 (mandatory for most China-origin goods Oct 22), your classified catalog migrates automatically. You'll be filing electronically before your competitors have read the notice.

FAQ — the questions you're about to ask

Straight answers

Are you a licensed customs broker?
No — and that's by design. ClearPost is software plus a workflow. You (or your licensed broker) always make the final classification call and always press submit. For clients who want full hand-off, our partnered licensed brokerage files under their license and bond, with ClearPost as the engine underneath. Nothing here is legal advice; the design follows CBP's January 2026 guidance on software and customs business.
Do I need my own customs bond?
If you self-file postal entries: yes — a single-transaction or continuous bond (~$500–700/yr via a surety) on file in ACE eBond. If you'd rather not: our broker-partner tier files under the broker's bond, and you skip the setup entirely. We walk you through either path at onboarding.
Who actually emails CBP and pays on Pay.gov?
The designated filer — the owner, purchaser, or licensed broker. ClearPost produces the exact file, the exact name, and a Pay.gov step list; the filer sends it and authorizes payment. Under an hour a month, most months.
What happens when the spreadsheet process ends?
It partially does — and that's good for you. From Oct 22, goods with Chapter 99 duties (most China-origin merchandise) must use CBP's electronic Entry Type 13, live in ACE from Sept 22. Your ClearPost catalog and memo bank migrate automatically. The transition is our upgrade moment, not your crisis.
How accurate is the AI classification?
Every proposed code carries a confidence score and citations to CBP binding rulings. Lines above the confidence bar still get spot-checks; below it, a human confirms every time. In the pilot period a human reviews 100% of lines. And classification is remembered — your products converge to a stable, auditable catalog within two cycles.
What does the refund scan cost? What's the catch?
The scan and the deadline-triage report are free. If you engage, it's a flat $750 (self-serve kit) or $1,500 (guided, screen-share submission) — against a market charging $125–$350 per entry or up to 8% of your refund. The catch: some deadlines are brutal — entries liquidated in January lose protest rights this month. That's why the scan comes first.
Where does my data live?
Your order data and entry data stay in your workspace, encrypted, never shared or sold, exportable any time. AI classification runs on anonymized product descriptions only. (In this demo, everything stays in your browser — nothing is transmitted at all.)
What if CBP rejects a filing or a claim?
Our validators check the exact known rejection causes before anything is produced — file format, headers, code eligibility, deadline windows, bond and account status. If something is still bounced, we fix and refile with you at no charge, and the fix becomes a permanent rule in the linter.

Your August filing is due the 7th.
